The program has two components: first participating
registered users will establish their health profiles consisting of birthdate; sex;
occupational risks; exposure to sunlight; levels of physical and social
activity; and tobacco, alcohol and drug use patterns.
Regularly measured factors will include height, weight, temperature, blood
pressure (systolic and diastolic), pulse (rate and rhythm), cholesterol, blood
sugar, urinalysis, bone density (women), PAP test (women), and PSA (men).
Testing will be done at the office of the registered users family doctor at intervals of 3 to 6 months. All
results will be entered in the Wickenburg Health Net medical records database
and will be available to registered users online in table and graph formats using their
individual passwords to ensure privacy. This program enables them to cooperate more closely
with their family doctors in monitoring their own health on a regular basis.
